India Warns Pakistan After Ceasefire Breach, Says Over 100 Terrorists Eliminated

India Warns Pakistan After Ceasefire Breach, Says Over 100 Terrorists Eliminated

India has formally put Pakistan "on notice" following multiple violations of a US-brokered ceasefire, which ended a high-intensity 100-hour conflict marked by drone swarms, missile strikes, and the downing of fighter jets on both sides.

At a special tri-services briefing, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Director-General of Military Operations, revealed that Pakistan violated the ceasefire within hours of its implementation. Drone intrusions were reported across Jammu, Kashmir, and Gujarat, prompting immediate countermeasures. “We responded robustly. Any further provocation will invite a fierce response,” said Lt Gen Ghai, confirming that a stern ‘hotline’ message was sent to Pakistan.

The recent escalation began after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, J&K. India launched Operation Sindoor, a multi-domain military campaign targeting terrorist camps and infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Army confirmed the elimination of at least 35–40 enemy combatants between May 7–10.

The Indian Navy, revealing its role for the first time, said its forward deployment in the Arabian Sea effectively pinned down Pakistan’s naval assets. Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod stated, “We were ready to strike targets at sea and on land, including Karachi. Our posture was calibrated but firm.”

The Air Force conducted precision strikes on nine identified terror hubs, destroying infrastructure near Lahore and Gujranwala. The forces emphasized that Indian targets were exclusively terrorist-linked, unlike Pakistan’s response, which hit civilian zones.

Despite the flare-up, Indian officials underlined that escalation is not the objective. “Our fight is with terror, not the people or military of Pakistan,” the Army said.

The armed forces remain on high alert, with integrated readiness across land, air, and sea to respond to any future aggression.
